629 Elm Street
Next door to the Kendall Young Library in Webster City, Iowa

The historic home of Kendall and Jane Young was built in 1873.

The Webster City Women’s Club has met in the home for 100 since 1923. Along with the Jane Young House Foundation, club members have lovingly cared for and maintained the site. The huge task of painting the exterior trim has been completed as well as a new roof and fresh landscaping. Come take a look!

We are currently upgrading the interior with new carpet and flooring and some new paint on the main floor and front stairway.

Visit the historic home and hear the amazing stories of Kendall and Jane Young and their legacy.  The two-story house features a wrap-around porch and a main floor meeting room that is available for receptions, showers, club and business meetings, reunions, and similar social events.

A beautiful curved stairway leads to the “Vintage Clothing Exhibit” where garments, accessories and furniture are on display the 4th Saturday of each month April through December. The displays change periodically. Tours for small groups are available by appointment at other times. Contact Loween (515-297-0846) or JoAnn (515-310-0397) to arrange a tour for your group. Admission is free. However, we appreciate your free-will donation to help us maintain our house. We request a $5 donaton per person from those touring by special request. Groups of three are preferred for specially arranged tours.
